CNC axle and bridge shell grinding machine
HD-010 CNC Axle and Bridge Shell Grinding Machine
Two wheelheads working at once on axle housings and axle shafts. 600 mm centre height, Φ1200 mm swing, 3 m between centres and 30 kW at the wheel, holding the 0.005 mm roundness the axle drawings ask for.

Features
- Two wheelheads working at once on axle housings and axle shafts, at up to 45 m/s.
- 600 mm centre height and Φ1200 mm swing, set up for the bridge shell grinding process.
- Reserved parking positioning for the bridge shell, at 15-150 r/min.
- 30 kW at the wheel, with wheels to Φ900 × 300 mm.
- Work accuracy of 0.005 mm roundness and 0.008/1000 longitudinal section consistency, which is what the axle drawings ask for.

Model FAQs
Questions Engineers Ask About The HD-010
Will my shafts fit inside the HD-010 capacity range?
The HD-010 grinds diameters of Φ500 mm. Ground length steps with the model size — the table on this page states each. Quote finished diameter, length and workpiece weight together: the three place the machine, and weight is the one buyers forget.
Should my parts run between centres or in a chuck on the HD-010?
Between centres whenever several diameters must stay concentric to one axis — the centre holes are the datum, so inspect and lap them before precision work. Chucks or collets take over when there are no centres or a bore is the reference. On the HD-010, slender work past roughly ten diameters of unsupported length wants a steady rest carrying the span.
What is built into the HD-010 that keeps it accurate?
Two build points matter most on this machine: two wheelheads working at once on axle housings and axle shafts, at up to 45 m/s; and 600 mm centre height and φ1200 mm swing, set up for the bridge shell grinding process. Structure decides how a machine ages — the specification table tells you what it does new, the build tells you what it does in year five.
How do I choose between the HD-010 and the HDGie2010?
Both sit in the cNC axle and bridge shell grinding machine group, so the decision is capacity and duty, not kind: put your largest part dimensions, material and yearly quantity against each specification table and one of the two will run out of a figure first. Send the drawing and we will name which of the two fits — including the case where the smaller machine does the job.
What acceptance testing does the HD-010 go through?
Every HD-010 is laser-measured to ISO 230-2 over its travels, cuts a test piece that is measured rather than admired, and ships with a serial-numbered report carrying the measured values. If any line misses, the machine goes back into the shop until it passes — the report is a record, not a promise.
