Cylindrical grinding machine
M13 Series Cylindrical Grinding Machine
Plain cylindrical frames for external work only, from 135 mm to 500 mm centre height. Diameters of 8 mm to 800 mm over lengths to 6000 mm, with workpieces to 3 t.

Features
- Plain cylindrical frame: no internal grinding attachment, so the whole wheelhead is given over to external work.
- Centre heights from 135 mm to 500 mm and workpiece weights to 3 t.
- Wheels to 900 × 75 × 305 mm at 35 m/s on the MQ1380A.
- Grinding lengths to 6000 mm on the M1363(MM).
- Stepless workhead drive, down to 5-50 r/min on the largest frame.

Model FAQs
Questions Engineers Ask About The M13 Series
What grinding wheel does the M13 Series take?
Maximum wheel size on the M13 Series is stated per model on the specification table. Wheel choice — abrasive, grade, structure — is matched to your material and finish target at quotation, and shoulder work needs the wheel width checked against the shoulder clearance on your drawing before the machine is sized.
Why does the M13 Series hold its geometry under real work?
Two build points matter most on this machine: plain cylindrical frame: no internal grinding attachment, so the whole wheelhead is given over to external work; and centre heights from 135 mm to 500 mm and workpiece weights to 3 t. Structure decides how a machine ages — the specification table tells you what it does new, the build tells you what it does in year five.
Will my shafts fit inside the M13 Series capacity range?
The M13 Series grinds diameters of 8-200 / 8-320 / 8-320 / 25-500 / 30-630 / 50-800 mm. Ground length steps with the model size — the table on this page states each. Quote finished diameter, length and workpiece weight together: the three place the machine, and weight is the one buyers forget.
What separates the M13 Series from the M14 Series in this group?
Both sit in the cylindrical grinding machine group, so the decision is capacity and duty, not kind: put your largest part dimensions, material and yearly quantity against each specification table and one of the two will run out of a figure first. Send the drawing and we will name which of the two fits — including the case where the smaller machine does the job.
What evidence comes with the M13 Series that it meets spec?
Every machine in the M13 Series range is laser-measured to ISO 230-2 over its travels, cuts a test piece that is measured rather than admired, and ships with a serial-numbered report carrying the measured values. If any line misses, the machine goes back into the shop until it passes — the report is a record, not a promise.
