CNC composite grinding machine
MKS27 Series CNC Composite Grinding Machine
A composite grinder with a T4 tool turret on the B axis, so external and internal heads swap under program between +30° and -280°. External head at 50 m/s, internal head at 30000 r/min, both water cooled with front gas seals.

Features
- Two frames: 200 mm diameter over 500 mm, and 320 mm diameter over 1000 mm.
- 0.0005 mm minimum wheelhead feed and 0.001 mm minimum table feed.
- High precision dual-purpose headstock, with the tailstock on preloaded bearings.
- External head on an imported grinding motor spindle, water cooled with a front gas seal, running a 500 × 63 × 203 mm wheel at 50 m/s.
- Internal head at 30000 r/min as standard, also water cooled with a front gas seal.
- T4 turret as standard, on a mechanical or DDR direct-drive turntable.
- +30° to -280° of rotation under closed loop control.
- Turntable positioning to ±5″, or ±2.5″ on the direct drive.

Model FAQs
Questions Engineers Ask About The MKS27 Series
Should my parts run between centres or in a chuck on the MKS27 Series?
Between centres whenever several diameters must stay concentric to one axis — the centre holes are the datum, so inspect and lap them before precision work. Chucks or collets take over when there are no centres or a bore is the reference. On the MKS27 Series, slender work past roughly ten diameters of unsupported length wants a steady rest carrying the span.
What is built into the MKS27 Series that keeps it accurate?
Two build points matter most on this machine: two frames: 200 mm diameter over 500 mm, and 320 mm diameter over 1000 mm; and 0.0005 mm minimum wheelhead feed and 0.001 mm minimum table feed. Structure decides how a machine ages — the specification table tells you what it does new, the build tells you what it does in year five.
What shaft sizes does the MKS27 Series cover?
The MKS27 Series grinds diameters of Φ8-Φ200 / Φ8-Φ320 mm. Ground length runs to 500 / 1000 mm. Quote finished diameter, length and workpiece weight together: the three place the machine, and weight is the one buyers forget.
What separates the MKS27 Series from the MKS8320×500 in this group?
Both sit in the cNC composite grinding machine group, so the decision is capacity and duty, not kind: put your largest part dimensions, material and yearly quantity against each specification table and one of the two will run out of a figure first. Send the drawing and we will name which of the two fits — including the case where the smaller machine does the job.
What acceptance testing does the MKS27 Series go through?
Every machine in the MKS27 Series range is laser-measured to ISO 230-2 over its travels, cuts a test piece that is measured rather than admired, and ships with a serial-numbered report carrying the measured values. If any line misses, the machine goes back into the shop until it passes — the report is a record, not a promise.
