Vertical machining centre

VH-85 Vertical Machining Centre

A box-structure vertical centre on a widened chassis, running a 10000 / 12000 rpm BT40 spindle over 850/550/550 mm of travel with a 1000 × 520 mm table rated at 600 kg.

VH-85 vertical machining center

Features

  • The machine body is made of high-grade castings, with a box structure and multiple stiffeners to improve rigidity.
  • The spindle runs high-rigidity, high-precision ceramic ball bearings with ultra-low temperature rise, improving thermal elongation behaviour and cutting precision.
  • The chassis is widened and the span of the X, Y and Z guideways increased, making the body more stable and shock-resistant.

Questions Engineers Ask About The VH-85

What should I look at inside the VH-85 beyond the spec table?

Two build points matter most on this machine: the machine body is made of high-grade castings, with a box structure and multiple stiffeners to improve rigidity; and the spindle runs high-rigidity, high-precision ceramic ball bearings with ultra-low temperature rise, improving thermal elongation behaviour and cutting precision. Structure decides how a machine ages — the specification table tells you what it does new, the build tells you what it does in year five.

What options are catalogued for the VH-85?

Catalogued options for the VH-85 include: Fourth axis; Fifth axis; CTS (coolant through spindle). Options are named line by line on the quotation with the base configuration, so what is written is what arrives — and if an option does not earn its money on your parts, we will say so.

Which parts suit the VH-85 best?

The catalogued work list for the VH-85 covers mould, transportation, communication, food, electronic. If your part sits outside that list it is not necessarily wrong for the machine — send the drawing, the material and the tolerance and we will place it honestly, on this machine or another.

VH-85 or T-10 / T-13 — which fits my work?

Both sit in the vertical machining centre group, so the decision is capacity and duty, not kind: put your largest part dimensions, material and yearly quantity against each specification table and one of the two will run out of a figure first. Send the drawing and we will name which of the two fits — including the case where the smaller machine does the job.

What acceptance testing does the VH-85 go through?

Every VH-85 is laser-measured to ISO 230-2 over its travels, cuts a test piece that is measured rather than admired, and ships with a serial-numbered report carrying the measured values. If any line misses, the machine goes back into the shop until it passes — the report is a record, not a promise.
